Julie's wedding

Its a joyous occasion so must blog about it!

Early in the morning, the sisters were all busy helping Julie out making sure everything is in place and alright.

We all have this ribbon thingy with flowers and pearl to tie around our wrist indicating that we are the sisters.


The make up artiste is busily helping Julie with her make up and hairdo.


Have never seen Julie so pretty before! Well I think that the beauty of the bride is not how nice her make up, gown and hair are. Its the blissful smile that comes out within her. And this is what I see in her, the glow on her face.

Finally, everything is ready and the tradition is to let her parents cover the veil.

This boy boy is so adorable! But I don't know Who is he or how he is related though.

Finally the time comes for the sisters to step in.

And here is what we did. We listed out a list of questions about Julie and if the groom answer it wrongly, he will have to consume these:

Marshmallows with stuffed wasabi and ABC water. Why I call it ABC water because i added everything i see in the kitchen into that glass. BUT I was damn irritated because after the groom drank the ABC drink, he actually say "wah what is this? very nice to drink leh!" And he meant it! In my memory, I added vinegar, chilli sauce, wasabi, egg, soy sauce and pepper. How could it possibly be nice to drink? ARG!!!
So for every wrong question, he or his brothers must eat 1 marshmallow but they are damn sneaky as they always pretend to walk away and spit out the marshmallows.
One of the question is to guess which is Julie's lips.

And after making a few guesses, he gave up and do the forfeit.
For the Ang Pao, guess how much that stingy guy gave?

The $1000 note is not even SGD! We have been tricked!

But after arguing, we decided to let him off and open the door as the time is not early.

The groom's brother then offer the oranges and the whole pork to Julie's parents as a gift. They have alot of little things to follow like putting oranges on the bed, oil lamp by the side of the bed, etc, etc.. But what's the meaning behind them? I kept asking Julie but she herself also don't know.


Finally after being tormented by the sisters, the groom finally went in to see the bride.

The groom kneeled down and supposedly said some "heart touching" vow and kiss the bride!


After taking several photos with the family and relatives, we went over to the groom's house for tea serving ceremony.
I'm so hungry that I didn't bother to take pictures there and kept eating the buffet.

We were sent home after the ceremony is over and I rushed to my bed and snored like a pig.
After a good sleep, I got prepared and went to their wedding dinner which is held at Wen Yan Lou. From Hougang to Jurong you know!!!

Julie and Zhiwei were already standing at the entrance hosting their guest.

We all settled down and waited for the dinner to start. They actually got the cheek to put this:



The night started by first presenting a slide show on Julie and Zhiwei. After the slide show, We all stood up to welcome the lovely couple and threw rose's petals at them.

After the walk in, they proceed to cut the wedding cake.

After the couple went to sit on their table, dinner is finally served and God am I famished!

After a few dishes, the couple walk in again for the champagne ceremony.

Julie's face is like "you know how to open wan or not?"

We were summoned up to do the 'yum seng' thingy and the guys were standing behind me while my ears are going deaf.
