St. Louis 26/6-2/7/2010

Went to my once a year trip to U.S.A. This time the show is in St. Louis-Missouri.

In Japan airline on the way to Tokyo for transit. As usual, long flights=pain in the ass.

Checked in to hotel and went to the ICRS luncheon. Met people from all over the globe, learned and picked up stuffs especially from the participants of Nigeria. Felt blessed and deeply sympathize with countries/areas in poverty.

Outside the convention center.

Stayed in Mayfair-Wyndham historic hotel for the week. Super shiok and spacious hotel. Me likey~

Even the lift is so old school.

What kind of warning is this? A note written in marker "park here again, car will be towed".

After 4 long horrible days and sleepless nights due to jet lag, its finally time to relax!

Headed down to St. Louis must-see gateway arch.

The nearer i approached the structure, the more i gasp for its stunning and perfect structure.

Went to the museum to have a better understanding on the history of the gateway arch before going up to view the scenery of the town.
My insecure expression says I'm afraid that the bear will turn real soon and rip the shit outta me.

The arch is made up of stainless steel and reaches up to 630 feet. Its the most popular attraction in st. Louis and it cost approximately 13 million to build the arch.

I like how they discourage people from touching the displays.

took a lift/capsule/tram thingy to the peak of the arch.

The view down is beautiful...

The Busch stadium

The Gateway arch shadowed upon the Mississippi river.

Wanted to take a cruise ride along the Mississippi river but the cruise are not operating as the river is flooded. What a waste =(
So I decided to check out the river and indeed, its over flooded.

The next day, I took a train down to forest park and went to the Missouri History Museum-Jefferson memorial. Wanted to go to 6 flags St. Louis theme park initially but its really way too far away so i skipped it.

I was hunting for places to have brunch and immediately know that i'm gonna eat here.
SUNNIES!!!

I got this sandwich for free in the end because the waiter says I waited too long. Hence its on the house. I don't even feel i waited for very long.

Went to watch the exhibit on Vatican Splendors. I'm pretty amazed by all the art pieces and history of the artists like Michelangelo and Gitto.
Super cool~

Took a bus down to St. Louis zoo-the nation's best/top zoo. It not only gives you a natural experience of the animal's habitat with close encounters, it also doesn't charge a single dime for the entry! NICE~

Purchased the train ticket and explored the whole zoo.

Sea lion show. Cute and smart to max!

The 3D ride is super stupid. The graphic is not even realistic enough.

Ended the day with a beer again. Oh how i miss bud light.

Someone commented that every time i blog about a trip, my ending is always very.... lame. so here is how i'm ending it.

TIME TO GO HOME!
